Nutrition in Pregnancy

We specialize in providing specific nutrition advice surrounding the important chapter in any woman's life, Pregnancy and childbirth. The Eastern traditions in medicine have always held their firm beliefs that what happens in pregnancy can impact on seven generations. There's emerging research on Nutrigenomics that is almost proving this theory now.

Thomas A. Edison has once quoted, “The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."

Contraception and Family Planning

We provide a whole range of services offering options from discussion of Oral Contraceptives to Longer acting Contraceptives like Implanon and Mirena. We have fully equipped facilities to carry out the procedure of insertion of IUD (Intrauterine device, like Mirena, Copper-device etc) on site. The doctors will be able to ascertain the best possible option for you and in some circumstances refer you on to see a specialist as needed.

For women who are worried about weight gain, irregular heavy periods, mood and libido effects Mirena might be a very suitable option for them.

Cervical Smear Testing

For over a year now, we have started utilizing the newer and better technique of Cervical Smear Test (previously known as PAP Smear) that utilizes liquid cytology technology to detect the presence of variants of HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) that is implicated in the causation of Cervical cancer. Due to this advancement in technology, this test needs to be performed once in 5 years.

Breast Health and Screening

One of the most common yet treatable cancers is Breast cancer. We encourage and demonstrate to all our patients in performing Breast Self Examination that can help detect any issues with the breast as an organ. There are free BreastScreen services available in the region for the ages between 40-70. These low dose mammograms are recommended every 2 years.

Menopause and HRT

Menopause can be a very trying time in a woman's life. It not just affects her physically but takes a toll on her emotional, mental and social well-being. With the latest advances in medicines, including natural alternatives, there are plenty of options available to a woman to manage her transition through menopause better. This not only reduces the burden of subjective symptoms but also reduces risks of physical disease due to sudden changes in female hormones. We can, nowadays, offer Bio-identical hormone therapies and compounded (personalized medicine) nutritional support as a significant adjunct to help improve women's health when they cannot use medical options for HRT (Hormone replacement therapy).
